Myers, D.O., a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon with The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics, has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the field of orthopaedic sports medicine and his dedication to helping patients return to active, healthy lifestyles. Specializing in sports medicine and shoulder and knee arthroscopy, Dr. Myers is known for his patient-centered approach and advanced surgical expertise.
As a former athlete himself, Dr. Myers brings a unique perspective to his practice, understanding firsthand the challenges and frustrations that come with sports injuries and physical limitations. He is highly trained in treating a wide range of conditions involving the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. His expertise includes advanced procedures for shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears, ACL tears, meniscus pathology, cartilage restoration, and other complex orthopaedic conditions. In addition, Dr. Myers has a strong interest in shoulder arthroplasty, trauma and fracture care, as well as non-operative management of musculoskeletal injuries when appropriate.
Dr. Myers earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, graduating with honors. He completed his residency at OhioHealth in Columbus, Ohio, followed by a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine with specialized training in shoulder and knee arthroscopy at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is affiliated with Meritus Medical Center and Cumberland Valley Surgery Center and is an active member of The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and The Sports Medicine Association. Demonstrating his commitment to supporting young athletes, Dr. Myers has also signed on to serve as a supervising physician for the at Saint James High School, further strengthening sports medicine care within the community.
